10/07/2012: After a segment many of us saw on ESPN, we learned that Greg and Kara are expecting twins. While still in utero, one of the twins has been diagnosed with a heart defect which will require significant medical attention both during pregnancy, and immediately after birth. TJ (a name already selected for the child) is set to undergo multiple surgeries for the condition, including one very close to his birth. ESPN cites sources indicating a 70% survival rate for children born with this condition.

Olsen went to Twitter to thank fans for the support after people learned of the condition, saying:

“The outpour of support my wife and I have received after today’s piece has been amazing. We appreciate it all. Special thanks to the families who reached out to share their experience with HLHS. Our son will be a fighter. Thanks to u all.”

Kara squared off against Greg’s teammate Desmond Clark in an ESPN Magazine segment “For Love or the Game,” which pits player’s wives against teammates to find out who knows the player best. In an impressive showing, the woman who’s been with Greg since the age of 18 demolished Desmond in nailing all 5 questions correctly.

Kara enjoys golf, and is reportedly a high end realtor in Chicago.

A.J. Feeley’s wife Heather Mitts is highly accomplished soccer player. So much so that this post probably should have been titled “Heather Mitts husband AJ Feeley”. She won a national title playing for the University of Florida. She has won two Olympic gold medals for the USA Women’s teams in both 2004 and 2008. She has become a professional player, playing for the Philadelphia Charge of the Women’s United Soccer Association from 2005-2007. After taking 2008 off for the Olympics, and to recover from an injury, she is set to return to the professional ranks. She will begin playing for the Boston Breakers this season.
Off the field, Heather has done some sideline work for ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC’s soccer coverage.

The pair have been involved in a rather public on again-off again relationship since the mid 2000’s. It looks to have become permanently on again when AJ proposed to Heather on Christmas Day, 2008. They were officially married on February 13, 2010.

In 2004, Heather was voted the “Hottest Female Athlete,” by ESPN.com.

Cam Newton’s girlfriend Ciara isn’t new to chasing sports superstars after she was reportedly dating Amare Stoudemire early in 2011, and it appears she’s found a new jock that she’s clinging to. Rumors of this relationship began this weekend, when the Carolina Panthers were in Atlanta to play the Falcons. Sources saw Cam Newton and Ciara out together repeatedly over the weekend, and also reporting the two getting very close while out in the clubs. MediaTakeOut is reporting that the power couple caused a commotion while they were “MOBBED by fans at Atlantic Station.”
Right around the period of time when witnesses reported seeing the two out together Saturday night, Ciara threw up a very interesting tweet:

Man, the guys on the 2011 Carolina Panthers can’t seem to stop dating famous chicks, huh?

Winner of the last season of the Bachelor (which I swear I only knew from watching The Soup,… I swear!!), single mother, and North Carolinian, Emily Maynard is dating Jeremy Shockey. After breaking up with Brad Womack in June, Emily was recently set up on a blind date with the new Carolina resident, Jeremy Shockey.
A friend of Emily’s tells Us Weekly that the two have been out a handful of times, including a dinner date at the swank BLT Steak in the Charlotte Ritz Carlton Hotel. They were originally set up on a blind date by a member of the Panthers front office staff.
Emily is a single mother who moved from her Texas home to be closer to Bachelor Brad Womack. Even after their relationship ended, she elected to stay in the Charlotte area. We’ll see if she is one that can finally get notorious Playboy Shockey to settle down.

Cam Newton’s girlfriend’s have been a fascinating study of semi-celebrities, normal women, and strippers. In the case of Cam Newton’s girlfriend Hazel, it appears she crosses into all three areas.

Hazel is a former stripper who has previously worked for the famous Washington DC Stadium Club. Many sites are reporting that Hazel now works as a party hosting socialite. Hazel has done plenty of modeling work for a day job, and appears to be making a career of it, which likely closes the door on a return to the stage & pole. Cam and Hazel made their first public appearance at the 2013 Kentucky Derby, and the then unknown Hazel sent the internet to work to learn more. There are rumors that the couple is expecting a child, but those are unconfirmed as of the start of NFL Training Camps.

There have been rumors swirling since June that the couple is no longer together based on the subject and tone of a DM Tweet Cam sent to LA Radio personality, Promise B Mae. That story remained relatively quiet and may have been genuinely friendly in nature. We’ll keep an eye on the Panthers wives and girlfriends box this season and see if we can find out anything on Cam’s girlfriend – but considering the way he’s been rolling, he may very well be on to the next one.

As Carolina Panthers wideout Steve Smith engages in yet another battle on the field tonight (this time being Aqib Talib), we decided to find out more about Steve Smith’s wife Angie Smith.

Steve and Angie Smith met through mutual friends while attending the University of Utah together. Steve told Angie that he wanted, “to get to know you and pick your brain,” which was a unique pick up line that actually worked. The couple had planned to marry during February of their senior year, but wound up pushing up the date and marrying during a bye week of Steve’s 2000 senior season. The couple planned the entire nuptials in a week, and are every bit as married as those 2 year, $50,000 events (as I desperately tried and failed to remind my wife leading up to our wedding). The couple has three children together, Peyton, Baylee and Boston.

If you’re anything like us, you may seem to remember Steve Smith’s wife being brought up earlier this season. Surely enough it did, and it ties in nicely to the lead of this post, when it came up during a fight with an opposing player. Smith took exception to St Louis Rams corner Janoris Jenkins, and the two sparred on the field, and afterwards through the press. Smith went on record saying:

What I don’t like is a young guy who comes in, who obviously his first time ever using the internet and Google, and he Googles information about me, talks about my wife and stuff like that. That’s just some of the bulls*&t I just don’t play with…. When I don’t know a guy and he’s talking about how’s Angie doing, those things. C’mon… And if I seem him on the street, I’m going to bust him in the f&*king mouth.”

Um. I think he means it. No one vote low on Angie Smith please…. PLEASE!!!

This Sunday, DeAngelo Williams and the Carolina Panthers will bump up against the 49ers in round two of the NFL playoffs. Williams, however is not the only one in his household representing for his team. In early December DeAngelo Williams’ Girlfriend Risalyn Burzynski was spotted volunteering with other Carolina Panther wives and girlfriends at a charity event to help 20 local needy Charlotte families. Risalyn was assigned the task of shopping for a 12 year old boy and when asked about the child by NBC she replied:

All he asked for was underwear, socks and pajamas. He just wants anything, so we’re going to make sure he gets a basketball goal and some really cool stuff to play with this year.

This type of charity is not uncommon for Williams and Burzynski, as they both work fervently for the DeAngelo Williams Foundation for breast cancer awareness and children’s literacy.

DeAngelo and Risalyn are not married but they have been together since they met as undergrads at the University of Memphis. In 2011 Risalyn gave birth to their daughter Rhiya Williams who has since become the subject of many of DeAngelo’s twitter posts. He clearly loves his family and is incredibly smitten with his daughter Risalyn seems to stay out of the public eye, except for her charity work, but from what we can tell she is a very supportive girlfriend rooting for DeAngelo both on and off the field.

UPDATE 02/09/2015: All charges stemming from the domestic violence case involving Greg Hardy’s girlfriend Nicole Holder have been dropped.

Back in May, Holder told police that Hardy beat her while also threatening her life during a late night argument. Hardy was originally convicted of charges, but appealed. A hearing was set to begin Monday, but prosecutors advised the judge that Holder has gone MIA. As there was no accuser to testify, the charges were dismissed.

Hardy spent much of 2014 on the Commissioner’s exempt list, and is still subject to a suspension next season. With no criminal charges hanging over him, Hardy is likely to latch on to another team quickly as a free agent.

The Charlotte Observer unearthed one interesting nugget in the protective order complained filed by Greg Hardy’s girlfriend Nicole Holder. The spat between the two stemmed because of Holder having a short term romance with Nelly, who happens to be a minority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. The complained said that while the couple was trying to work things out, Hardy “just snapped” while in bed together early Tuesday morning.

Hardy’s 911 call said he had multiple sources to corroborate his side of the story, so this is likely to have more twists and turns before all is said and done. Keep it here for updates as they’re available.

Hardy and Holder met in late 2013 while she was working as a waitress. They have been on and off since, including a brief period of living together earlier this year. After the incident, Holder filed a restraining order against Hardy, which included her side of how things transpired:

Hardy picked me up and threw me into the tile tub area in his bathroom. I have bruises from head to toe, including my head, neck, back, shoulders, arms, legs, elbow and feet. Hardy pulled me from the tub by my hair, screaming at me that he was going to kill me, break my arms and other threats that I completely believe.

He drug me across the bathroom and out into the bedroom. Hardy choked me with both hands around my throat while I was lying on the floor. Hardy picked me up over his head and threw me onto a couch covered in assault rifles and/or shotguns. I landed on those weapons.

ESPN is also reporting that Holder alleged Hardy to have up to 30 firearms, while also alleging that he threatened to shoot her if she went to the media or reported the assault.

Both Hardy and Holder were intoxicated at the time of the incident, and each is accusing the other of being the aggressor. Hardy was released from custody after posting bond. He made no comment to the awaiting media, though his lawyer later released a statement. In a 911 call, Hardy told the operator:

We’re trying to get her out of my house and she keeps running back in every time. My neighbor is outside witnessed everything. … My manager is trying to restrain her she’s trying to break free tried to hit me with her heel … I’m literally running around. I’m inside the my apartment trying to get out but she’s blocking … she’s at the door and she won’t leave we’ve been trying to leave for an hour. I’ve asked her to leave a thousand times and she’s hit me in the face twice. I’m trying to walk around and I can’t walk through my kitchen because there’s glass … she broke glass.

Hardy later suggested that he thought Holder was on coke, but that she had definitely been drinking. He is next scheduled to appear in court on June 27.

Luke Kuechly’s girlfriend Shannon Reilly is the very definition of a goody-two-shoes. She has a website (or blog or whatever you want to call it) where she talks and talks and talks about becoming a good leader and good classmate and good volunteer and good doctor and on and on and on. I can tell you just about everything about this girl, for I have read a virtual memoir and autobiography thanks to her website. Never before have I seen as large a cache of information on one player wife or girlfriend. I’m serious, guys, there are like two dozen different links and essays she provides about herself here.

I think the purpose of her website was to show colleges and hospitals that she has what it takes to become a surgeon or a surgeon’s assistant as she moved on to post-grad studies in medicine. Her stated goal in life was first to become a surgeon (I’m referencing her “Final Reflection” essay) but then it seems like she might have downgraded that to surgeon’s assistant (referencing her “About Me” essay). This chick is like a college-goals robot. It’s sort of a surreal experience hearing Luke Kuechly’s girlfriend Shannon Reilly talk about her goals and experiences through the automated voice of a machine.

No but she’s seriously ambitious when it comes to being a surgeon (or surgeon’s assistant). I absolutely love the photo of her latex-gloved hand holding what looks like a corpse’s arm and a cross-eyed girl in the background giving a “Oh You!” look. It might be the most surreal photo of a pro athlete’s girlfriend I’ve seen yet. It’s probably not a corpse. I hope not, anyway.

I’m certain not even her star linebacker boyfriend has this much information on the web about him, and I guarantee you he hasn’t provided a tenth as much himself. He had a pretty darn good year with 93 tackles, 156 combined, 2 sacks, and 4 interceptions. He’s a Pro-Bowler, and he’s dating a girl who has some serious career aspirations. He apparently didn’t take her to Hawaii to the Pro-Bowl, and I can understand why. I wonder if her actual speaking voice resembles the Google Chrome Reader voice. That would be awesome.

Ryan Kalil’s wife Natalie Kalil was once Natalie Nelson, an internet meme sensation. I’m talking about something almost no one remembers, including myself. Apparently back in 2006 while Natalie was a USC Song Bird (cheerleader), USC was playing Texas for the BCS National Championship, and Natalie exploded with an enthusiastic cheer for the wrong team after Texas made a big play, and the image was captured and photoshopped into all kinds of goofy memes. So basically Natalie Nelson was known as a super cheerleading airhead for awhile. In the picture, you can see two of the other cheerleaders looking over at Natalie like, “Uhh, no that’s the wrong team, honey.”

These days, Ryan Kalil’s wife Natalie Kalil is simply known as “mommy,” as she has birthed two kids so far. One of them is a young girl named Kenadi, and another is her younger brother Chandler. Natalie married Ryan in March of 2008, shortly after her cheering career came to an end, but it does live on unofficially whenever she watches the big guy do his thing for the Panthers. I want to add a few notable asides here about Ryan himself: 1) he worked on a football training spoof with Will Ferrell and 2) one of his hobbies includes clay-mation. Yes, you heard that correctly– animating clay frame by painstaking frame. I think that is totally awesome. Ryan Kalil, professional football battering ram by day, clay animator by night. I wonder if he’s ever clay-mated Natalie cheering for the wrong team? God, he really, really should do that at some point and then debut it at a party.

As you might have guessed, Natalie’s days are packed with taking care of the kids and running errands to maintain the lovely household that the family keeps. These things take energy, dedication, and the wherewithal to realize who you are helping.

Josh Norman’s girlfriend Keisha Thomas (actually to be clear, this is VERY much his ex-girlfriend) is the mother of his child and their history is apparently not a very happy one. Back in 2013, Josh had been with Keisha for a year. Keisha is from a neighborhood in Queens, New York very close to where your dear author here lives, and she was flown out of there by Josh Norman to go to Atlanta. According to wordondastreet.com, and BOSSIP.com Josh allegedly asked Keisha to have an abortion, and she refused. After this, the story continues that an angry Josh attempted to leave, but Keisha sat on his car. The whole thing was purported to be quite the scene. It’s unconfirmed what version of this story actually took place, and Norman’s lawyer told one of the site’s that published the story that it was “relayed to them in order to leverage it into a favorable outcome in the child support case that was soon to follow.”

Sources continue that Josh Norman’s ex-girlfriend was terrified as he continued driving with her on the car. Despite yelling at him to pull over, Norman continued toward the highway. After the incident, Josh was fined for reckless driving. A legal battle ensued, and Keisha sued Josh for not paying child support. According Bossip, Norman was $1300 in arrears for child support payments of $447 per week. There were some other details thrown into the story about this person not being nice to that person, etc. but we’re going to skip those because these stories can get a little hazy, and we do not need to meet Mr. Norman’s legal team as some other sites have. Suffice it to say that you’ve got your average run-of-the-mill baby mama drama helping, and you’ve got a few ingredients in there that you don’t normally see such as allegedly driving an automobile with a lady on your hood. If that actually happened, how did she even hold on? Did she grab the wipers? I can’t imagine anyone being able to hold on if the vehicle is going faster than, like, fifteen miles per hour.

Well, Keisha herself is still living in Queens and still raising their daughter Imala. She seems to be doing alright, and she posts pictures of herself and Imala hanging out all the time. Josh Norman’s ex-girlfriend is moving on with her life, and her daughter celebrated her second birthday recently. Friends of Keisha wished her a happy day, and Keisha herself is looking quite beautiful.

Thomas Davis’ wife Kelly Davis experienced an incredibly smooth courting process when she first met Thomas. As the mother of a little girl named Skyy from a previous relationship, she bonded with Thomas about his child, named Denim. They first met at a brewery in Charlotte, North Carolina while Kelly was still in college. She was hanging with her friends, and they met and were socializing with Javon Haye of the Tampa Bay Bucs. Javon called over Thomas, and he immediately hit it off with Kelly. She has said they had a lot of chemistry and that something just “clicked.”

It was over two months of dating before they both decided to introduce one another to each others’ kids. Naturally, when Thomas met Skyy, he really liked her and got along great with her. Since Kelly was still in school, she continued to attend Winthrop University and work at Applebee’s. Thomas Davis’ wife then realized she was pregnant, and the two were apparently thrilled about the news. They sort of knew they would eventually be married anyhow. When Kelly graduated from Winthrop, Thomas couldn’t be there because he was attending a training camp but he gave her and her family a video recorder and asked them to document the occasion for him.

At the graduation party afterwards, there was a horde of people at Thomas’ house celebrating for Kelly, and Thomas arrived later and asked everyone into the living room for a special event. Kelly didn’t know what was coming, and she sort of guessed it was going to be a funny prank, but instead Thomas proposed to her in front of everyone with a huge 7 carat diamond ring. Now, Thomas Davis’ wife is living the American dream, married to an NFL pro and raising three kids, Brady Bunch style. The kids situation they have is somewhat unique since there’s one from each parent and then one from both. These two seem like real winners.

Boy I tell ya’ these wedding videos are getting pretty dang good. You should see Roman Harper’s wife Heather Harper and him in their wedding video. It has overhead aerial shots, it has one of those “rated R” ratings thingys in the beginning, and it has superb editing. It’s got it all! The real move in these videos is getting a lot of footage with people giving speeches and then overdubbing those speeches onto corny footage of flowers, wedding shoes, champagne glass and the like while only occasionally cutting back to the actual footage of the speeches. That’s how professional wedding videos are made, people.

Roman Harper’s wife was formerly Heather Haukaas, and she is indeed a beautiful lady. The wedding took place at Biltmore Estate, which is apparently the largest privately owned house in the United States. I’ve been looking at pictures of this place, and I’m not kidding when I say it’s a monster. It looks like Versailles Palace in France. It’s got 178,926 square feet of floor space. So you get the idea: this was a big, big event. It’s most definitely the classiest wedding I’ve ever seen, and Roman even cried while he was trying to tell a story during the vows. He was doing so well too with improvising and speaking loudly and clearly. He finished the speech with “you are the yang to my ying, I love you and let’s do this thang.” After his speech, the clapping echoed through the hall like they were in a European cathedral.

The couple moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in July of 2014 after following the wedding, and Heather told friends she’ll miss them but she’s excited about her new life there. Roman Harper’s wife has also given birth to a baby girl named Londyn, and Heather is busy taking care of her while Roman plays his favorite sport of American football. Before this whole life, she was a simple recruiter for an IT company. If you’re pretty, smart, and have a good personality, you don’t need to recruit for any IT company for too long, ladies.

Star Lotulelei’s wife Fuiva Lotulelei met him at a two-year college they were both enrolled in back around 2007. It was a good encounter for him to make since he thoroughly changed the way he approached living. Star attributes much of his success to his getting together with Fuiva. He told a Utah newspaper that “getting married and having my first child was something that helped me become grounded. It helped me to focus, kind of settle down and figure out what I wanted to do with my life and where we needed to go. I think that is what has gotten me to where I am today.”

They’ve had two daughters so far: Arilani and Pesatina. Those are pretty cool names. They sound sort of like characters from “Avatar” but in the best way. Star Lotulelei’s wife Fuiva says that he really enjoys relaxing and spending time with his kids. Any time that football isn’t going on, he’s at home spending some quality time with the family. Fuiva herself was a former volleyball player at Snow College. She’s originally from the Polynesian island of Tonga, which is located to the east of Fiji (the island famed for being where Truman from The Truman Show wanted to escape to). So you get a sense for what kind of environment Fuiva grew up in: think tropical, palm trees, coconuts, and skirts made out of grass. Polynesian islands are hard to beat.

Fuiva was with Star when his named was called at the NFL Draft, and he told the Utah Desert News, “I sat out a year after high school and then going the junior college route. I had my first kid when I was 19 years old and got married young. So it’s been a rough road, a hard road and to make it to that point of getting picked it meant a lot to me and my family.” It’s most definitely a big moment for Star Lotulelei’s wife as well. This will mean a future life of traveling from city to city (generally once every three years). It will also mean instant financial security for at least the next ten years if Star and her plan well. Fuiva did not picture a life being married to a professional football player when she was growing up in Tonga, but it certainly is working out now.

Ted Ginn Jr’s wife Krystle McCoy recently accompanied him on their lovely honeymoon in Dubai, UAE after their wedding on April 12, 2015. The ceremony took place in Westlake, Ohio and was an all-black and black-tie affair. Keepin’ it classy is just how these guys roll. At some point in the wedding proceedings, either before or after, Ted treated his guests to a nice game of bowling, and everyone wore specially designed shirts just for the event. Who doesn’t love bowling before or after a wedding? Good American fun right there.

The story of how these two met is pretty classic. Ted Ginn’s wife was hanging out with a group of her friends way back in the days of 2002 when cell phones were just peanut-shaped walkie-talkies and nobody had ever seen The Wire and thought you were crazy for watching it. They were all in high school, these lovable bunch of ladies, and Ted and his friends spotted them while they were cruising around town, up to no good in their pickup truck. They pulled up to them, and Ted’s friend began charming one of the girls in the group. While this was going on, Krystle walked to the end of the truck to look at herself in the tinted mirror and fix her hair. Unbeknownst to Krystle, her future husband was sitting in the back seat, and he lowered the window and told her “Leave your hair alone. You look fine.” Krystle described her reaction as shocked and embarrassed, but she laughed. There was no exchange of numbers or emails though. That came later.

I love how Ted actually describes this differently. In Ted Ginn’s wife Krystle’s account, she just says she asked a mutual friend to give him her number a little later, but in his version he includes some finer details about the whole thing. He says that he saw her at a high school dance after their first meeting, and when he approached her she told him, “Get away from me, I have a boyfriend!” That cracks me up. See fellas, if you want a girl sometimes it just takes persistence. Later on, she ended up giving his friend her number, and his friend handed it over to him. Ted’s friend didn’t even tell him who it was. He just told him “call this number,” and when he did he was pleasantly surprised to get Krystle on the other line. Now, they have twins named Theodore and Krysten. He proposed to Krystle on Christmas Day of 2010 when they were all opening presents together.

Some players’ wives are just meant to be in the player wives community– taking care of kids, going on Caribbean vacations, trying to tie everything in life to the bible somehow, and watching their husbands crash into huge guys on a field surrounded by thousands of rabid fans. One such woman is Kurt Coleman’s wife Laura Coleman. The couple have two little girls who will grow up to be football fans, and Laura herself is from THE Ohio State University– known for its extreme football focus.

It’s no surprise that the couple both attended OSU since half of all football marriages start at college or before. Within the last two years, Kurt Coleman’s wife Laura was married to him, and before she became Mrs. Coleman, she was simply Laura Roberts. Back in 2013, young Miss Roberts was at a bar in Philadelphia with all of her friends celebrating her engagement to Kurt and guess who was also there that night? None other than the ladies man himself: Drake. He posed with Laura and all of her friends, and the picture taken with them has him wearing a look on his face like, “these girls aren’t cool enough for me, and I can’t be bothered to smile with them.” If you look at the photo, every single girl is smiling and looking like they’re having a good time, and Drake is the opposite.

Other recent good times for the couple includes the television session that Kurt Coleman did on a show called This Is Gross with Jordan Gross, a former Pro Bowl offensive tackle for the Carolina Panthers. The show is actually pretty good if you’re into the team, and Jordan knows how to talk to the players and keep things moving right along. A little while ago we told you about the twisted tale of Josh Norman and his daredevil baby mama. Now, we present you with a more conventional tale of love and longing. Ladies and gentleman, Josh Norman’s girlfriend Nisa Alston is a lovely young chick living in Atlanta. Originally from North Carolina, she reportedly spent seven years as a campus director at a school called American Intercontinental University, which has a nice ring to it even though I’ve never heard of it. Then again, I’ve never heard of a lot of things so what does it matter?

Josh Norman’s girlfriend is now an HR person, and she loves her job except for when she’s got to fire people. She hates that aspect, and I completely understand. They should just create androids to take care of that messy part of human resources. She’s a devout Christian, but she’s not so in-your-face about it. She likes the feeling of being in a room where people are getting spiritual, and she often talks about how she enjoys praying and thinking about God as a concept. She describes herself as a “giver by nature”, says she loves to “make others happy/smile” and never expects anything back so when love is given back it means a lot to her. That’s very sweet sounding. She is a also hard worker, according to her.

Nisa has managed to insert herself into the upper management power structure of the company she works at, and her boss nominated her for some kind of CEO program training program. I don’t entirely understand what the program is, but it sounds like an honor to be nominated for it so good job, Nisa! She’s got a bubbly and lively energy about her that makes it easy to like her. Her friends all love her too, unlike people with friends that don’t actually like them, I guess. I mention that about her friends because one of them sent her a present in the mail for no other reason than to send her a present, and I think it was before Christmas.

Ron Rivera’s wife Stephanie Rivera is a coach too. She gave an interview with Andrea Kremer of the NFL Network, and Andrea asked her what it’s like to have two coaches in the family that can talk shop. She said that it’s basically a dynamic where they understand each other a lot more than your average sports wife would. While most sports wives know a lot about sports purely as an occupational hazard, Stephanie knows sports. She is currently the head coach of the women’s basketball team at Cathedral, and she was previously the coach of the Washington Mystics of the WNBA.

Ron met his future wife back in the early 80’s when Stephanie was a talented point guard for Cal. They met and played a bunch of pickup games with friends, and around the third game he asked her out. She eventually tore her ACL and got herself a degree in psychology. ACL injuries are such bummers. The couple has been together since 1983, which means they’ve been together for a long time – roughly 32 years. They’ve got two dogs, a golden retriever and a smaller dog (I’m not going to try and figure out the breed), and they also have two grown children. The kids are named Courtney and Christopher, and they’re both athletes as well.

Stephanie Rivera is a very active lady. She loves to golf, get out in nature, and travel. When Ron Rivera’s wife isn’t busy coaching, she goes hiking with Ron and hangs out by a lake they like to frequent. I’m fairly certain they have a house on a lake in Greenwood, North Carolina. There’s a nice golf course that Stephanie goes to a lot in the summer, and the rest of their time is spent on the lake or hiking. Sounds lovely. Stephanie is a passionate sports fan, and she’s especially keen on California sports. When the Golden State Warriors won the championship, she said she could finally go to sleep at night knowing the Warriors were the champs.

Kony Ealy’s girlfriend Asia Walker gave birth to their first child in November of 2015, and it was reported by the Panthers website that he was on the team plane when he got the call from a family member that his lady was going to pop a week early. When you get to that last month, it’s generally good news that you’re going early rather than late, right? I mean, nobody likes having to wait around past a due date even when such dates aren’t set in stone. Actually, sometimes when you’ve got a due date and you go over it, you end up paying way more insurance if you have the child in a new year (rather than the year you were covered for). So Kony got a round of applause from his teammates after a win over Tennessee, and he was off to the hospital.

The first time I attempted to write about Kony Ealy’s girlfriend,​ ​we​ ​had no idea what her name was, and that’s a bother because of the state of impermanence it implies. That certainly won’t do when the couple has just had a baby!​ ​The young child’s name is Royal, and Kony and Asia threw a party in her honor after they had her. Kony said on Instagram, “No other feeling in life is going to be better than when I see her and she see me eye to eye, that’s a bond at first sight.”​ ​Well, I have to be that guy right now and step in to explain that infants do not possess the ability to process visual stimuli of any kind even days after their birth. They can​ ​occasionally track movement in the way a smart camera can, but that’s about it. However, nobody should tell that to Kony because it’s a nice thought to have as a new father. My wiki-informed input is meaningless to a happy new NFL dad.

Asia and Kony took some pictures of the two of them with Royal at Thanksgiving, and Kony’s been extremely supportive to Asia in her first few weeks as a new mom. He’s said there’s no other feeling like being a father. Let’s not forget about Kony and Asia being dog owners! That’s a good feeling too, and the couple own a four top-bred Boerboels. Kony Ealy’s girlfriend has completed the trifecta: a cool boyfriend, a​ ​bunch of charming pets, and a beautiful new baby girl.

Graham Gano’s wife Brittany Gano was his supportive rock last season when the Panthers lost to Atlanta. If you don’t remember what happened: Graham missed two field goals late in the game. He then took a brief respite from social media to avoid an avalanche of angry fan tweets. Brittany allegedly sent him a nice text immediately following the loss. This is when having a caring wife really helps. If not when a group of angry fans are out for your head, then when else?

Brittany met Graham in college, and they’ve been together ever since. They have also have two kids. Graham Gano’s wife is a firm believer in writing down your personal goals, and she makes Graham write them down often. A few weeks ago, Graham and Brittany took a trip to a firing range. They’re an American couple living in Charlotte. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say Brittany has some of the most naturally stunning hair I’ve seen on a player’s wife in awhile. Her hair just looks beautiful, and I don’t think she wears extensions. I don’t know. Ladies, you be the judges. I could be extremely naive with detecting extensions. I certainly wouldn’t consider myself an expert in the field – you know, since I’ve never worn extensions.

The couple have also 1has a dog. Over the summer, Graham posted a picture of Brittany pouring water on her leg to clean it off. The dog had urinated on her! I wasn’t able to figure out what breed it is, but that’s a pretty willful thing for a dog to do. Urinating on your owner shows a deep lack of respect and general disregard for authority. It’s possible that Graham Gano’s wife needs to write down some dog discipline goals. If you write down your goals, it makes life a lot easier, Brittany!
